Lead Flashing

Do You Need Your Lead Flashing Replacing?

Flashings are a waterproof material that is fitted to chimneys, valleys and other parts of your roof.

Lead is considered a great option due to its adaptability, its pleasing aesthetic and durability – lasting around 60 years. Flashings also divert water, preventing leaks and water ingress. If you’ve noticed damage to your current system, we recommend replacing them immediately.

The Process

Interested in how we install lead flashings? Discover our process below:

  • We cut the chase in the brickwork.
  • We fold the lead to create a welt that will attach to the chase and then fix it in place.
  • Lead wedges are then placed over the top to maintain the welt’s position.
  • The lead flashing is cut and fixed to the chase and the joint is covered with a lead sealant.
